- Liquor Control
- To protect the health, safety and welfare of the general public by regulating and controlling the liquor industry in the importation, manufacture, sale and service of alcoholic beverages.

- Police

We will serve to enhance the quality of life in cooperation with all of those who share these beautiful islands in making this a better place to live. Maui Police Department will protect lives and property and preserve the public peace by enforcing laws and regulations within carefully prescribed ethical and constitutional restrictions.

- To foster public safety and confidence through a just and timely disposition of criminal matters.
- Public Works
- To protect the public's health, safety, property and environment by developing and operating the County's infrastructure and administering its building codes.
- Transportation
- To facilitate the rapid, safe, and economic movement of people and goods in Maui County. Department Charter: Responsible for the planning and implementation of all modes of transportation in Maui County, including those in the air and those on water and land. Responsible for planning and developing an efficient program to facilitate the rapid, safe, and economical movement of people and goods in Maui County. Coordinate Maui County's transportation programs with other county departments and with agencies of the state and federal government.
- Water Supply
- By Water All Things Find Life. The Charter of the County of Maui provides for a Board of Water Supply (BWS), which acts as an advisor to the director of the Department of Water Supply, the Mayor and the Council in all matters concerning the county's water system.
