Training
The Training Bureau is located at the Kahului Fire Station and is headed by a Captain and assisted by a Fire Fighter III. The Training Bureau is responsible for conducting research, evaluations, and tests on all phases of fire fighting. The Bureau staff supervises the department's annual training activities, including the programs that provide certification requirements. They are also responsible for the training of a newly hired recruit class. They also are responsible for the inventory of safety equipment for the department and distribution of this equipment.
