Transportation Resources

Maui Public Bus Transit System: The County of Maui currently funds a public bus system that provides service in and between various Central, South, West, Haiku, and Upcountry Maui communities. The fare ranges from complimentary to $1.00 per boarding, depending on the route used. Monthly passes are also available. The routes operate seven days a week including all holidays. Please check the Public Bus Schedule for times and locations, or check the Maui Public Bus Transit System for the bus resources page.

Commuter Bus Schedule: Commencing July 1, 2007, the Maui Bus service will expand its bus service designed for early morning and evening commuters. This service will augment the existing Maui Bus service, not replace it. This service will consist of five commuter routes, all operated by Roberts Hawaii. The routes are called the Haiku-Wailea Commuter, Makawao-Kapalua Commuter, Wailuku-Kapalua Commuter, Kihei-Kapalua Commuter and the Wailuku-Kahului Connector. To ensure that there is adequate capacity on the vehicle, we are asking that riders call to reserve seats. There is no need to call for reservations on the regular (non-commuter) Maui Bus routes.

Rural Shuttles: There are a number of rural shuttles available to the general public on Maui and Moloka’i, up to three times a week. They are funded by the County of Maui and are operated by MEO. All services are complimentary to the public.
